Check out of your Bali hotel and head to the airport for your flight to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila. Direct flights run regularly and take about 4 hours. Land in Manila and transfer to your hotel, preferably in the vibrant, modern areas of BGC (Bonifacio Global City) or Makati. Enjoy a relaxed evening walking around the clean, modern streets of your neighborhood, and stop by a local restaurant to try Adobo or Sinigang for dinner.
Step back in time inside Intramuros, the historic, 400-year-old Spanish walled city. Explore the stone fortress of Fort Santiago, which served as a military base and prison during the colonial era. Visit the beautiful San Agustin Church, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the oldest stone church in the Philippines. Walk over to Rizal Park (Luneta), an iconic historical urban park dedicated to the country's national hero, Jose Rizal. Drive out of the old district into modern Manila. Do some shopping or grab a late afternoon snack at the massive Mall of Asia, which sits right on the edge of Manila Bay.
